It's tough for Australia to achieve unprecedented feats.

The top summits have been successfully scaled.

This is the squad that has claimed seven Cricket World Cups, plus another six T20 titles, and earlier maintained over three years undefeated in 50-over cricket.

The remaining milestones, targeted by the achievement hunters, are what's still available for a side that has accomplished all there is.

It needed until Sunday's three-wicket win over India for them to complete their first ODI chase over 300, reclaiming their record for the largest in the women's 50-over format, is, honestly, a testament to the bowlers that have represented Australia over the past 50 years.

It's difficult for their batters to maintain a record if not afforded the opportunity.

Finally, the outcome of Australia allowing 330 runs was skipper Alyssa Healy getting a platform to deliver her latest masterpiece.

That loss "pushed us to reconsider our benchmarks," Healy commented earlier.

At the next 50-over World Cup in New Zealand, Healy made 170 against England in the final and was awarded tournament MVP. She ensured her country would not come up short.

The question of whether this latest epic knock surpassed that earlier display is debatable.

Certain people claim the reasoning behind final game tension. Some might respond with the test that comes when facing a record target and a raucous India-supporting crowd of 20,000.

What's definite is this hundred was considerably tougher to see coming.

She reached fifty in 35 pitches - her quickest at the global tournament - and her century in 84 balls as she flogged anything short, striking 21 boundaries and three maximums.

Once she was removed her side needed 66 more at run per delivery - an achievable target now requiring a leisurely stroll.

"Chasing 330 runs is uncharted waters so I am glad we have the confidence to achieve that now," stated Healy further.

"Preferably we shouldn't have to do it again but, should it happen, we know we can do it."

Those words will be the ultimate thing rival teams at this World Cup want to hear.

During the last week a sense they will triumph from any situation has grown stronger - this victory following win against Pakistan by 107-run victory despite sitting at 76-7 at one stage.

Next Australia play Bangladesh before a meeting with longtime competitors England in Indore in ten days, by which point a semi-final berth may likely be confirmed.

During that phase they left last year's T20 World Cup in an unexpected loss by South Africa - an encounter Healy missed because of torn tissue in her foot as she guided Australia for the first time at an important competition.
